Prinker Korea Launches Self-Tattoo Kiosks with CU, leading Korean convenience store chain.

June 25, 2025

Prinker Korea has announced a collaboration with CU, one of South Korea’s leading convenience store chains, to install Prinker tattoo kiosks at CU Myeongdong Station and CU Terminal 2 Incheon Airport Branch No. 3. These kiosks offer an easy and accessible way for anyone to try out self-applied tattoos. This partnership marks the first major public experience platform for Prinker products, aimed at broadening consumer access and has been attracting significant attention in the industry.

The tattoo kiosk allows users to select from about 100 designs and print them directly onto the skin using Prinker’s core technology—cosmetic ink-based tattoo printing. Notably, many of the available designs incorporate traditional Korean elements such as "KOREA," "tiger," "fortune pouch," and "palace," which are expected to be particularly appealing to foreign tourists.

The process is simple: users choose their preferred language (Korean, English, Chinese, or Japanese), select a design, apply a primer to their skin, and then print. The selected design can be printed multiple times within a two-minute window, making it easy to share the experience with friends or family. With an intuitive user interface, people of all ages can use the kiosk with ease. The cost of the experience is set at 4,000 KRW, but it's currently available at a 25% discount for 3,000 KRW as part of the launch promotion.

Prinker’s tattoo kiosks use cosmetic pigment inks that are FDA MoCRA-listed, registered with the CNPN and SCPN, and also comply with Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety regulations. This ensures Prinker temporary tattoos are safe even for sensitive skin. The printed tattoos are water- and sweat-resistant, lasting an average of two days, but can be easily removed with soap or body wash. This makes them ideal for temporary self-styling or expressing individuality on special occasions.

This partnership goes beyond simply expanding distribution channels. Prinker Korea sees it as a meaningful milestone in its mission to create an environment where Prinker tattoos can be safely enjoyed anytime, anywhere. The company plans to install more kiosks at high-traffic CU locations like the Everland branch and Suwon KTX Station branch, and eventually expand to beach areas and other summer destinations to provide greater access to the experience.

A Prinker Korea representative stated, “This kiosk collaboration with CU is an important first step in bringing Prinker’s technology and self-tattoo experience closer to more consumers,” adding, “We will continue to broaden our reach through various partnerships, enabling people to enjoy Prinker tattoos anytime, anywhere.”

Meanwhile, in addition to the CU kiosk launch, Prinker Korea is continuing to make strides on the global stage through ongoing technological innovation. Its makeup palette kiosk, Prinker POP, was recently named a finalist in the Innovation Technology category at the Cosmoprof Awards 2025, and previously won an Innovation Award at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), solidifying its position as a global leader in beauty tech.
